Up in the North it can get cold at night and central heating rarely exists. Make sure you have a blanket with you or pick yourself up a cheap sleeping bag (easy to find being sold outside main train stations for a couple of hundred rupees). If you're travelling class AC2 bedding is provided so no worries there
